Day twelve of #RPGaDay!

Looking at the collection on my shelf, almost of the books were printed in 2000 or later. The rest are PDFs, most of which are themselves artifacts of the more recent, digital age. However, I have to admit, I have a soft spot for the old World of Darkness games and I’ve been itching to pick up a dead tree version of of the Vampire: the Masquerade 20th Anniversary Edition ever since it was Kickstarted a year or so ago.

Had I known about this game in middle/high school, this game (or Mage) would have caught on like wildfire among my friends, especially when we were going through that goth phase right around 8th grade. I still wish I had a chance to play through a campaign, since it pretty much fulfills all of my sexy dark villain fantasies that I’ve already gone on about (see also my deep love for drow, blood elves, the Blooded, ven, etc.). This game, along with the original Wraith: the Oblivion, are still fun to flip through and read about when I’m on a dark fantasy kick. I’ll bet it would make for a killer Black Jewels Trilogy engine as well…

What’s an old RPG you still read or play?
